During the by-elections of NA240, the day was tumultuous, with slow voting, MQM-P was the winner, Muhammad Abu Bakar got 10683 votes, Shahzada Shahbaz of TLP got 10618 votes and Rafi-ud-Din of Mohajir Qaumi Movement got 8349 votes.
Turnout was 8.38%. According to details, a by-poll was held on the NA-240 seat in Korangi area of Karachi yesterday. According to unofficial and final results, Muttahida Qaumi Muhammad Abu Bakar of MQM-P took the field. Results of 309 polling stations of NA-240 Korangi Karachi 2 by-election came out according to which Muhammad Abu Bakar of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan came first with 10683 votes.
While Shahzada Shahbaz of Tehreek-e-Lubaik Pakistan (TLP) came second with 10,618 votes, Rafi-ud-Din of Mohajir Qaumi Movement got 8349 votes and Nasir Rahim of PPP got 5240 votes while Shabir Qaim of Pak-Sar-Zamin Party Khani got 4782 votes. According to the Election Commission, the turnout in the constituency was 8.38 percent
